Jotti Leihl's Emerging Artist Award

INCLUSION Art Show Scholarship

Jotti, cherished by her family, friends, and the posAbilities' Richmond Social Network, discovered her passion for art in adulthood. She enthusiastically created paintings, jewelry, and beeswax candles both at RSN and at home. Jotti found immense joy in her art and received heartfelt appreciation from her peers. The annual INCLUSION Art Show became the highlight of her year, inspiring her so profoundly that she would begin planning her next projects immediately after returning home.

Jotti thrived in inclusive creative environments, where she could step outside her comfort zone and share her true talents. Her passion for art not only brought her joy but also provided an opportunity to earn from doing what she loved. In a society where it is very difficult for those living with disabilities to achieve entrepreneurship, Jotti was one of many disabled artists who defied these odds, demonstrating what is possible with determination. If she were here today, she would undoubtedly embrace opportunities like the INCLUSION Art Show without hesitation.

Though she has passed on, her family wishes to honour her memory by establishing a grant in her name. They envision this grant empowering artists to realize their full potential, encouraging creativity, and instilling the belief that anything is achievable through passion and dedication.
